Meet your Celebrant
Welcome. My name is Sophie and I am an authorised marriage celebrant. I’m a mental health professional, training to be a clinical psychologist and also working in chronic pain research with First Nations Australians. In my day job, I support people to navigate stressful experiences with kindness, patience and understanding. This has shaped how I show up as a celebrant — calm, present, and deeply attentive. I’ve also spent time behind the camera as a wedding photographer, so I understand the rhythm of a wedding day and when to quietly step aside. With a background in linguistics, I’m drawn to the power of words – how they shape our experiences, tell our stories, and give meaning to the moments that matter most.
